  1. Get a cockatiel they are get first birds. If you want something bigger a green cheek or  Senegal.

  2. You should go check out ALL of them. Upon meeting the bird in person the bird should have no problem coming right up to you and loving you from that moment, you will know then, no matter what breed it is, that  that will be the bird for you. This is how I knew my conure was right for me, but it is a green cheek conure and I love it with all my heart and it loves me. No matter what you end up with, if you think that is the bird for you weather you get to handle it or not upon meeting it, you will do fine so long as you don't rush the bird trying to get it to bond with you on your time. You have got to allow the bird to take its time to get to know you and used to its new place to live. When you do it that way making the bird think it was the birds idea to warm up to you, only then will you get to handle your new bird with it's trust. I have a new cockatoo myself and have had her for a month and a half already. Only 3 days ago did SHE WARM UP TO ME after all this time. I was just about to give up hope when she accepted me. I never rushed her and showed her I respect her space by turning to the side when visiting with her in my living room in her cage. Now that SHE has figured out this is her new home and I am not going away, she can't get enough of me here in the last 3 days of her trusting me for the first time. I LOVE HER! Good luck with your search.

  3. I think you should get an amazon!

  5. get a bugie they are not to small and not to big and you can teach them how to talk and they are really friendly but what ever you like what ever u get youll love so yeah good luck:-))
