I already know the house fo represenatives but my teacher says there are more

  1. Sounds to me like your teacher needs to be taught a thing or two.  The House of Representatives solely holds the power to impeach the president.  If the House of Representatives does vote to impeach the president the Senate acts a a jury.  The senate must then vote by 2/3 majority to remove the president from office.  Remember that even if the Senate fails to remove the President he has still been impeached but not removed from office.  This is precisely the scenario that happened to Bill Clinton.  He was impeached but the Senate chose not remove him from office.  (Your teacher probably incorrectly believes that impeachment is removal from office)


  2. I could be wrong, but I think Senate also has to approve of impeachment.

  3. Congress (House of Reps) has the sole responsibility for Impeachment. The Senate simply votes the Impeachment up or down but regardless of the vote if House of Reps Impeached a President history will always record that.
