the answer is A but how would I know please explain step by step

  2. The answer is clear if u make resonance structures of the first bond.(I hope u know wt it it.)

    See, that there is a lone pair on Nitrogen, and when the Carbon nitrogen bond is made, this lone pair oscillates between Carbon & Nitrogen. Thus there are two resonance structures.

    And now we know that this structure is stabilised by resonance.

    The more its stable, the higher is bond Strength.

    Also, u must see that overlap in orbitals is maximum in triple bolnd....so its stronger...
