I cant really decide on what to chose to read for a book report. a book called Impulse by Ellen Hopkins or a book called Rucker Park Setup by Paul Vomponi? both sound real good but the internet repeats the same summary as what i have written on a sheet of paper given to me by the teacher. so i want to ask people who read one of those books and tell me if u enjoyed it or not and which book u think is good. to sve ur searchin work, impulse is about 3 teens who attempt to suicide and thier suicide connect in a way they never had with with anyone else in thier lives. Rucker Park Setup is about playing a crucial basketball game where his best friend was murdered, Mackey tries to come to terms with his own part in that murder and decides to whether to maintain his silence or tell J.R.'s father and the police what really happened.

So what do yall think?thanks

  1. I have never read Rucker Park Setup, but I did read Ellen Hopkins' Impulse and I could not put the book down from the get go! It only took me a day and some odd hours to read and with each page I was more and more drawn in to the characters and settings. Her writiting makes it feel as almost is you were there with the charachters, or one of the characters yourself! The ending is chilling and the author leaves you wanting more. Ellen Hopkins is by far one of my favorite authors.

  2. I've read both and I think that Impulse was twenty times better. It took me forever to read Rucker Park Setup cuz I really didn't like it that much but it only took me two days to read Impulse becuz i jut couldn't stop reading. Hope this helps!!
