Which branch has more soldiers in iraq?

Question

which branch, army marines, navy, or even national guard, has the most soldiers in iraq and Afghanistan.

for some reason i just figured the army is most of our soldiers over there.

am i wrong?

Thats easy.  The Army has the most soldiers in Iraq.  

Marines are called "Marines"

Navy personnel are called "Seamen"

Air Force personnel are called "Airmen"

The Army also has the most number of personnel in Iraq,  which is probably what you were trying to ask.

And remember, the US Army Reserve and even the National Guards of the various states are part of THE ARMY.

Not to take anything from our comrades in the other services (can you believe Navy guys volunteer to work out on the ground front?  Dont know if I would ever volunteer to do a tour aboard ship....) but when it comes to getting lots of boots on the ground, you gotta call the Army.

Army definitely has the most manpower in Iraq/Aghanistan.  That's primarily because the Army is simply much larger in terms of numbers than the other branches.  Also, a good majority of the units in the Army are support units, trained and prepared to support operations for all branches, not just the Army.  

For example, I was in the Signal Corps.  When my unit deployed to Iraq, we provided phone and internet communications to the entire Air base, not just the Army units there.  Most of our subscribers were in fact Air Force.

army. the army is america's occupying force. the marines fight for the ground and the army occupies it (not to say the army doesn't fight). i feel bad for the army. their deployments are like 3 to 4 times longer than marines.
