Have just cleared engineering entrance exam and don't know the merits and demerits of various streams.my counseling date is nearby.i need guidance

Information technology engineering, but you should keep one thing in mind, in which branch you are intrested. Every core

group has its own merits.in most of times it depends upon the college \university you have choosen, some colleges have good faculty and laborotariy facilities for some groups only. so, first your interest in subject and then the college [facaulty, lab,libraryetc.,] are most important  in selecting the group, instead of which group are getting good jobs at present. the situation may change after 4 years. Every group\branch has own merits, your interest is most , atmost important.

as if you are intersted for a god job then choose electical.
