I want to do a job like accounting, storekeeper or cook. Or are there any jobs where you dont have to be in charge of big platoons. I want to be part of a small section.

  1. Storekeeper???  Is there such a job???

If you don't want to be "in charge of big platoons" then just do the bare minimum.  WITH RANK COMES RESPONSIBILITY!  I took care of 22 Soldiers and NCOs as a SSG.  That was my section...over half the platoon!  And I loved every bit of it!

If you decide on the Army and have no aspirations of attaining more responsibility, then just do your bare minimum and you'll be in charge of no more than 4 people...is that small enough for you???

PT is designed to keep you not only physically fit but mentally as well.  Slow runs are not designed to maintain your running ability.  They are designed as a morale booster...to keep your platoon together as one so that you start as ONE and finish as ONE.

I score 300s as well and I have to work out during lunch because PT is not challenging enough for me.

Just join the Air Force.  They just recently started wearing PT uniforms here on Ft Hood and I've actually seen the fat little f-ers "try" and do PT in this blob that maybe looked like it could have been a formation...if you want to be laxed....

  2. My husband is Army and he PTs everyday.  My sister-in-law is Airforce and they are only required to PT every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.  However if you really arn't wanting to PT I would suggest not joining.

  3. Speaking from experience from being at joint forces commands - the Marines and Army PT the most, then Navy, then Air Force. If you don't want to workout often then the Air Force is the most lax. You still have to meet to normal height/weight PRT standards 2X a year though so don't slack too much.

  4. If you want an accounting or cook job and no PT then you do not need to join the military. All the branches do PT, no matter what their job is. Being physically fit is why we are the best military in the world. Depending on what job and what unit you go to, you MIGHT be in a small section, but it's doubtful. All servicemembers, regardless of their job are trained for combat. Honestly, if your asking questions like this, then the military is not for you. Sounds like you don't want to be a team player.

  5. all sections of the military have rigerous physical demands, if I am not mistaken the Military wants guys to be able to fight regardless of posting, the lightest PT i hear is in the Navy though

  6. Salvation Army

  7. You can be in charge of Girl Scout cookie sales, or would that be too tough for you.

  8. lol, if you are wanting to get out of PT, then dont go into anything. stay home and be a loser. I sure as h**l dont want your out of shape a$$ covering me in battle.

  9. The navy.

The Air Force now has mandatory PT

  10. I suggest the Peace Core for you.

The military is hard, no matter what job you have.

  11. ROTFLMAO

    you are kidding right?

  12. The amount of PT you have to do will depend more on your MOS (job division) than the branch of the military you choose.   Get a desk job and you'll likely do less PT and also go to the field less often.  If you're infantry, expect to do more running and jumping.

  13. lol... My Heart is a SGT  and he does PT everyday. He has a desk job.  I never heard of just a little PT. You should be a reservists a weekend and a month... I would that would be your best bet.
