  1. I have to disagree. I go through hundreds of batteries in TV production in wireless microphones for shows. We have found that Duracell gives us the best useage.!! We do not use rechargeables, as they have a lower voltage (1.2V) and are a pain to keep re-charging..

  2. Generally any brand using NiMH (nickel metal hydride) will be just fine.

  3. I agree with VESNA317; Energizer.

But be aware that Energizer makes both 2000mAh and 2500mAh in the AA size; and you want the 2500mAh.

I've been using rechargeable batteries for over 20 years. These new NiMh batteries from Energizer are great. I've recommended them to several people, and they have all come back and told me how pleased they are.

Just be aware that most NiMh batteries will self-discharge if not used for a while; so it is best to keep these on a charger until you need them. They do NOT have the memory effect that plagued older NiCD batteries.

Some new NiMh claim they don't lose charge if not used (as a result, they come fully charged in the package). I have not had a chance to try them yet, as the current Energizers I have are so good I haven't had to buy any new ones.

  4. Energizer, by far.
