Which brand of cars convey class the most?

BMW? Mercedes? Lexus? Porsche?

Volvo. Seriously. How many thugs and gangsta hopefuls drive pimped out Volvos? That sort of debasing behavior tarnishes the images of higher caliber brands. And don't be fooled by big names -- just because you have the money to get your foot on the pedal does not mean you were born and bred with good taste.

Volvo says the driver has a level head, an eye on safety, and wants a little luxury for their penny. The XC90 is the exception.

Otherwise, there aren't too many brands who represent good taste across the board. The Lexus IS is borderline ricer and too many teens drive it. Infiniti was classy before the G was introduced and their customer base shifted dramatically. Mercedes is classy to an extent but I know too many teenaged girls who got a Mercedes just to say they had one. That's not class.

Saab says classy but they're more sport-oriented and more of a niche vehicle.

Subaru says class. It's a shame the brand goes so overlooked. Increase the power in their engines a bit and make a few more options standard... they'd be on the cusp of luxury. Their buyers are good people.

I'd say it doesn't depend on the car brand to some extent, but the type of car. the classiest car would probably be a big luxury sedan, I own a 2006 BMW 750i, and I would say it's quite classy. just buying a porsche boxster and revving your engine around town trying to race people isn't classy. If your'e looking at buying a car thats classy look at brand that are one step down than what you can afford, and buy the nicest car they make. EX; instead of BMW 5-series, get an Infiniti m55.

That's a very subjective question.  What says "class" to some people might say "arrogant" or "insecure" to others.  Some people might say that a Prius is the classiest car, because of the statement it makes about respect for the environment.  In any event, one cannot buy class.  One has to have class.  Looking to possessions (houses, cars, clothes, etc.) to convey class indicates that class is lacking in the first place.
