  1. we went with huggies supreme because they just worked better for us and still using them 6 months later

  2. We used Pampers Swaddlers when our youngest was born. We used those til he hit size 2 I think. Then we started using Pampers Baby Dry for a while but they started to leak. Now he's a size 4 and we use Luvs or Huggies. We like the Luvs though because they are cheaper and they have never leaked. I wanted to use cloth since they have so many cute designs and are better for the environment but the cost to get all that we needed didn't exactly win my husband over so we use disposable.

  3. It really depends on your baby's hips. Narrow hips Huggies will leak. They also a little more expensive. I like Pampers. They tend to be more stretchy, and contour to the baby's shape. Luv is good to because they're less expensive than most.

  4. I loved pampers Swaddlers for my oldest and am using those with my new boy. After he outgrew the Pampers Swaddlers I used the Pampers Cruisers and thought they were the best and never leaked. Plan on using the same once my new baby doesn't fit into Swaddlers anymore.

  5. We use cloth diapers, and love it!  You couldn't pay me to go back to disposables, honestly.

You will likely spend thousands of dollars on disposable diapers for one child, but depending on what cloth system you use you can get everything you need for as little as a $200-300.

There are more benefits to cloth than just the cost.  There are health & environmental factors too - disposables have chemicals like chlorine in them, plus petroleum products.  They also take an estimated 500 years to decompose.  Imagine, every single diaper you ever wore is still sitting in a land fill, full of your waste (unless your mom used cloth!)  Eww.

As for being a lot more time consuming - I don't find that to be true.  I do a couple extra loads of laundry a week, that's it.  That's worth the trade off to me :)

There are lots of different "systems" of cloth diapers.  The easiest overall to use are pockets.  These are a waterproof shell with an absorbent part that you stuff inside.  The go on just like a disposable, with velcro or snaps, and once it's dirty you pull out the insert and toss them in the pail.

The cheapest way to go are prefolds or flats.  These you can either fold into a rectangle and lay inside a cover, then just put that on like normal.  Or you can fasten the diaper on with pins or a Snappi, and put the cover on separately.

There are lots of cloth diapering moms (and some dads too!) there that can answer any questions you might have.

  6. i go better with huggies supreme my daughter stays nore dry with those and the fit her just right i trued cloth but it was a mess with poopy well hope this helps and its not a dumb question well congrats on your baby!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  7. For sure it would have to be LUVS! The best diaper in the world. Never has leaked. TRUST ME!!!

  8. not a dumb question at all...there are many things a first time parent thinks about.  this happens to be one of them.

i perferred huggies.  it seemed with my first child, the other diapers didn't hold as well as the huggies did.  there were many times they would soak thru the diapers during the night.  so i used them for all 3 of my kids.

but you have to try them all out to see what will work best for you.

    congrats on your upcoming arrival.

  9. i think cloth sound like to much of a hassle, with all the things you have to do cleanign a poopy diaper isnt on my list.

as for what brand...i think you need to decide that once your baby gets here. ive some mothers swear by huggies, and some by pampers. you need to try them out and see which fit your baby the best. also ive heard luvs are good.

  10. there going to p**p and pee in the diaper, you are then going to throw the diaper away. In three days the bag of diapers you spent $10.00-$15.00 will be gone. There all basicaly the same I would go for a cheap brand.
