I'm having a boy and I'm starting to get the nursery finished and ready to buy some diapers. I've used Pampers in the past on girls, this time I'm having a boy, I've also heard that Huggies are pretty good. I would like to know what brand of diapers you like and if you have a boy/girl?...

  1. I have used pampers for my daughter and they gave her a very bad rash. So now I am using kozy kids. This brand is available on-line only and have great absorbency. and they stay dry for a long time.

  2. Huggies work the best, and Luvs are terrible. The circumcision shouldn't have to much effect on the diaper you use. Don't go the cheap way out though and buy store brand if you can help it, I find they are thinner and less absorbent.

  3. Okay, I'm going to be completely honest here and tell you that I don't have any kids....BUT

There's this blog that I love online (www.celebritybabyscoop.com) and they had a link to this website with eco-friendly diapers. IF I had a baby, I would definitely look into these. They look VERY simple to deal with and they don't seem expensive.

They're flushable, compostable, etc. They look like they're easy to deal with and don't leave a mess.

    Hope this helps!

  4. My son is 9 months. We used Pampers swaddlers for a long time but they began to leak overnight when he started sleeping 8-9 hours. We switched to Huggies at night and we have had no problems.

  5. i used seventh generation diapers until ruby got to be about 10 months old, at which point she started eating and drinking more and the diapers began to leak. from that point on we used huggies, which were great until the last few weeks. now, at 14 months, we use pampers cruisers, as they are the only ones that don't leak. i should add that ruby drinks a TON of juice/water all day long, so she pees a LOT. more than most, i am sure.

  6. Considering I had 3 children in diapers at one time, I was so thankful for Parents Choice.  I could buy all three of them their appropriate size of diapers for what one pack of the pricier brands were.  Some people say they are c**p, but they worked (and still work) perfectly for us.  They are one of the cheapest brands because they are the store brand (Wal-Mart).  I have 2 boys and a girl and they've held up wonderfully.

  7. I have used Huggies for both my son and daughter for the first 5 months then moved down to the non brand named diapers. I think Huggies are good for newborns. They hold so much. Couldn't believe how much they pooped.

  8. I am a mother of three children nd have used huggies on all three. My youngest is 7 months old and I wouldn't choose another diaper! I will agree with some others above that Pampers swaddlers are good for newborns because of their size. But after that, Pampers just don't absorb well at all.

  9. i wondered the same thing and for the baby shower, my friend put out the word that everyone had to bring a pack of diapers..so i got all kinds..the hospital started us on pampers newborn and i loved then and after using everything and brand that i had gotten i went back to the swaddlers..but once he was in size 2 and whould sleep longer then5 hourrs they would leak.. so i switched to pampers dry baby (they are cheaper then swaddlers or cruiser and more in the pack) i love pampers

  10. It doesn't matter what brands you use. Depends on your budget. Personally, i've tried pampers, huggies, mamypoko(if this is available where you live), drypers. Mamypoko's just right for my son especially when he got circumcised. the diaper's soft, love the leak-proof gathers so that you don't have to worry about leaks. It's 'Winnie the PooH' design on the diapers is a plus for me. Huggies' great too. Thick yet gentle to baby skin.

It's important to get the right size for the appropriate weight. good luck!

  11. With my girls I was always a Pampers fan.  They worked best for both of my girls.  When I had my son I figured I would try Pampers again.  With my son they leaked even when I changed him every two hours or when soiled.  For him Huggies Supreme worked best.  They did not leak at all.  Do not listen to others about Parent's Choice or White Cloud from WalMart.  They do not work at all and leak so much.  They also gave two of my children diaper rashes.  The only cheap brand that works are the CVS and Brooks brands (Brooks is now Rite Aid so I do not know if that is the same).  My son had a circumcision as well.  Huggies worked best as I mentioned.  Cover his p***s with Vaselline at each diaper change to help protect the area.

  12. it doesnt really mater wat kind of diapers u buy as long as he has 1 on...im havin a boy too im almost 8 months:)

    GEWD LUK:)

  13. PAMPERS!!!

We have used a pack of Huggies and Luvs (they were given to us) on our daughter, but other than that she wears nothing but Pampers.  She never gets diaper rashes because they keep her dry way better than other brands, and they are so much softer and stretchier than other brands, too!

  14. I have an 11 month old boy and Huggies work best for him, Pampers are too thin and dont hold out that good.

  15. I would have to say that it really depends on him and his shape.  I had tons of people tell me that Luvs were the best for the buck, so as you i bought cases, and cases...

My daughter has very small hips, so the Luvs never worked for her. So had to pack all the boxes back up and exchange out for huggies. She's 9 months now and thats all I buy

  16. I live in australia and im a SAHM to a 4mth old girl and love huggies, from what i know they're made in the same factory as the ones over there. Their boy ones have an extra guard at the top so if you forget to face 'it' downwards he wont leak.

  17. I use pampers on my 4 month old baby girl.

  18. The hospital gave us Pampers and we mostly use those...they are the best in my opinion because they seem the most comfortable.  I've also used Huggies and Luvs as well as some generic brands.  They all worked but I still find pampers seem the most comfy.  If you are considering using a cloth diaper try Fuzzi Bunz (you can get them a bit cheaper on ebay)...they rock and have saved us a TON of money.  And they are so freakin' easy it's ridiculous that more people don't try them.  We use them during the day and a disposable at night (or on long trips)....we just bought the mediums as my girl has grown out of the smalls (used them from 1 mo-7mo).  Our water bill did not go up, although we did buy a bit more detergent...but that's not nearly as expensive as a pack of disposables.  Just a thought :)

  19. I prefer Pampers.

I love Pampers swaddlers when they're newborn. Then after the reach size 2 I switched to Pampers baby dry.

EDIT: I'd like to add that my youngest was 8 weeks premature. Pampers preemie Swaddlers fit so much better than Huggies preemie. Huggies leaked for me. At every night feeding he woke up soaked (every 3 hours) when I used Huggies. Also, when they are in bigger sized, Huggies seem too bulky. It looks like they've already peed in it when they didn't.

  20. I have a boy, and a girl.. I've tried both pampers and huggies on them both.

I will never use huggies again. They are bulky and just don't fit right.

We use Pampers swaddlers, I do not like the baby dry kind of pampers but the swaddlers are great!

  21. We've tried every brand for my son, but Huggies work the best.  Other brands rub again his thighs the wrong way and cause a rash, and they also leak.  I guess it's different for every child though.

  22. i have always used pampers swaddlers on my son, he is now 7 months and on size 2-3.

i got some huggies as a gift and used them and found them to be very bulky..

  23. So far huggies have been best for us, not many leaks except when they get small.  I used to like swaddlers for when she was a NB because she was quite small and huggies were huge, even the NB size.  Elyse was actually in preemie pampers for about 2 weeks.

  24. Congratulations! Pampers in my opinion are thicker and more absorbent that Huggies. Even though they may cost alittle more, theyre better in the long run. Theyre also strechier around the leg joint and just overall better when it comes to leakage and comfort.

    best of luck!

  25. I recommend signing up to the wesites of major diaper brands.  They will send you a sample and then you can determine which type works best for your baby.

I like Pampers because I find they fit my daughter the best.  They seem to fit slender babies better than Hugies do.   I found chubby babies fit better in Huggies.  I also know many parents how are just as happy with the store-brand diapers.

  26. I have a girl. I used Pampers when she was born because my MIL bought them for me. Parent's Choice was my choice from 2 months onward. They fit slightly smaller than Pampers and Huggies. If I had to choose between Pampers and Huggies, I'd choose Pampers because they cover more area and absorb like crazy!

    Good luck!
