Which brand of sunblock do you recommend for surfing?

I used Shiseido's SPF 50 sunblock which is really good. The down side is it's expensive. I just wonder what brand of sunblock actually stays in water...I used to have really nice skin, but brown spots appeared once I started surfing. Please let me know if you have any recommendation!

Head over to the Dollar General or what ever place you got it at, a nice cheap place and scan the items.  I got a spf 50 for 5 dollars there once so it's cheap :) and works great.

I don't surf. But I suggest you use a waterproof or water-resistant one like Banana Public or Panama Jack.

Hey Chicky its good to see more female surfers, Banana boat is the best water suncream you can get, its a bit expensive, but it stays on in the water and smells good, those brown spots are sun spots you need to change suncream lotions or reapply more often. I use the new Nuetrogena spf 55 for everything.  It is awesome.  The perfect texture, and has protected me on 6 and 7 hour cycling rallies.  Water proof.

Not a surfer anymore but spend lots of time on the water fishing.

Blue-lizard, or any with an SPF of above 50. Still you are going to have to reapply it every so often while at the beach.

The best sunblock in the whole wide world is "daily defense for body" by skn of Beverly Hills.  It was developed by a Dermatologist who's husband is a surfer.  Her nanny also wasn't a big fan of greasy sunblock, she developed this for her husband, nanny, and kids.  I think it's currently sold out of her office and over her web site www.loveyourskn.com  it's about 30 bucks an oz but works well without being sticky or slimy.
