I just did a previous questioin about which one was better. The Medela swing pump or the Lansinoh pump. Well what about the Ameda pump. I was thinking about getting a Medela swing pump. I will be a stay at home mom and I only need it when I go to the store or someones house or even for dad to breast feed. Well I was reading that the Ameda was really good. That was more for women tha has larger breast. Well I have larger breast like a DD. So out of the 3 of them which one would be better and better for bigger breast.

  1. I have the Ameda Purely Yours and it's good.  I really wanted the Medela Pump In Style, but my insurance covered the Ameda.

  2. I didn't see your previous post, but I have the Lansinoh pump and it has worked great for me.  Granted, I am a SAHM and have only pumped maybe 30 or 40 times, so I wouldn't know how it holds up to repeated use.  This pump will "accommodate" you just fine as far as breast size is concerned.

  3. The Lasinoh pump is manufactured by Ameda, and is basically the same pump in a different color with a few less accessories.  The Medela Swing is supposed to be an excellent pump, too.

    Hope that helps!

  4. I didn't read your previous question....

That being said, I'm not sure about the pumps you've suggested (I use a Bailey), but one thing I CAN recommend is to make sure whatever one you get is self-cycling.  The one I have, I have to cycle it by myself (covering a hole with my thumb), and the task gets old very quickly.

  5. I am DD as well and got the medela.  It comes w. 4 cup sizes if you have big boobies.  I love my medela.  I heard so many bad things on the other ones.

  6. I rarely use a pump- for occaisional use like you're describing, I use an evenflo pump, and it's fine. I used it today for the first time in a month (have a 6 week old) and had three ounces in about 7 minutes.

It works great for my purposes and the cost was around $50.

I wouldn't buy a more expensive one (such as thoae you mentioned) unless I was going to be using it daily (going back to work etc.)

The few days I needed to pump alot (due to jaundice) I just rented a hospital grade pump.

  7. I have the original Pump in Style, I have 36 H and it works great.  I use the size 27 mm shield and I have had no problems.  I am also a SAHM and am now using it with my second son.
