  1. a papillon..you'll love 'em and wont regret getting one

  2. You want a wonderful breed that does not shed, loves to be with its humans, loves to sleep with you., they love walks, playing and just plain cuddling.....they do have to be groomed at least 2 times a month to keep their coats in good condition.......

is really intelligent and trains so easy,,,house trains fast.

and is a good little guard dog without aggression

then you want a Miniature Schnauzer

    go to http://www.americankennelclub.com

and research all the breeds, its not a matter of which breed is best, its a matter of which breed fits your lifestyle

  3. Wow, None of those breeds I have had luck with....But after all, the poms are the only ones I still have....The poms seem to pick up potty training a little better out of the smaller breeds,  The Female anyway! the male took almost 8 months...and they are even crated at night. The yorkie seemed to be the smarter one of the breeds for tricks and simple comands..like sit and stay. chihuahua did not play well with others and never learned to potty outside....I would say Poms....they are very willing to please...love the car rides and I can itriduce them to any kind of dogs (big or small) and they never cause any problems.

the yorky will need hair cuts, but the pom and chihuahua need little to none. a pom can get nippy from time to time...as any dog but if you raise them right and indroduce them to other people and situations while they are young...you will be happy with any of the 3 breeds.

    hope that helps you some

  4. I have a Chihuahua a Pomeranian and a WJRT.

Out of all those the easiest is a tie between the Pom and Chi.

if you need a good dog a JRT is far from that. she is a bit of a handful but thats how terriers are.

i really cant chose between the 2

but if had to the most well behaved, nice, smart all around good id say... My Pom BUT by a micro inch.

So i guess id say ether the chi or the pom.

friend has a yorkie VERY cute but also very stubborn.

But it also depends all your lifestyle too.

I might be confusing you sorry :]

  5. hi,

to know what type of dog will suit you, you can use this dog finder match up http://tinyurl.com/6gkcok

the goal here is to help you figure out what type of dog best suits you and your personality. The results of the match up will suggest certain breeds.

    hope this helps

  6. Don't do a little dog. they;re to yappy! Get a german shepord lab mix ( i have that its the sweetest dog ever), or a golden doodle! golden retriever and poodle! My uncle has the dog! thats sweet too!

  7. why do you want a small dog?!!? theyre so yappy and annoying. In my opinion a mixed breed larger dog would be better, but if i have to choose, id go with a yorkie. Not too many health problems, and they live a decent life 12-18 years i think. i dont know if you want that?

  8. The Pomeranian, Yorkshire terrier and Chihuahua are all Toy breeds. Poms are supposed to be quite small. I frequently see many that are oversized/mixed with something else (but still sold as purebred).  I don't want to recommend a dog breed for you since i don't know you and don't know what you'll be like in 4 years.  I can tell you that a lot of Toy breeds are uncomfortable around larger dogs.  People tend to spoil them and not socialize them enough which makes them appear mean or timid.  I strongly recommend Sirius Puppy Training Classes for all puppies.  A lot of Toy breeds are hard to potty train, maybe because they are so small they just can't hold it very long and need to go more often than larger breeds, too.  Litter pan or puppy pad training is a very good idea with Toys, especially when you have to be away from home all day.  Most Toys are very bright but vary in their trainability.

  9. ok well believe it or not there all hard to train and chihuahua's pee on everything and anything they can yorkies are average but hard to train and pomeranian dogs are so nippy a friend used to have 5 and they all used to bite they had to be put down have you considered any other dogs that are small i have 2 beagles they were easy to train they have a very good temperament and get along great with other dogs i would deffantly advice beagle and they are very small

  10. A dog is a dog, no matter its breed. it all depends on you how hard potty training is or if the dog becomes mean. it is the owner not the dog. if you cant properly train a dog or take it on regular walks, no matter the size, then dont get one. any dog will get along with any dog, its up to the human to make sure they do. the breed does not determine things like this. if you cant handle this, do us animal welfare workers a favor, and dont get a dog.

  11. All small dogs are hard to potty train however Yorkies are definetely the hardest to potty train of all 3 breeds you named here, that I can tell you for certain.  All dogs personalities can vary however the Yorkie will be the MOST likely to get along with other dogs. Far more likely than the other two breeds.  The Chihuahua and the Pom will be the least likely to get along with other dogs unless he/she is raised with them and even then, he/she will ONLY get along with the dog it is raised with, but no other dogs.  Chihuahuas are very nervous and anxious by nature and some can be pretty darn mean just like some Poms but the Pom however will be the easiest to potty train and yes, they do have toy ones!  They are soooo tiny!  Just make sure you go through a good breeder for any of these you choose so that you know it's health and temperment is what it should be.  Lastly I would like to add that although everyone is suggesting you get a large dog, you should get what you want and what fits YOUR personality. All dogs take work but a small dog, rather than a lage dog,  for a first time dog owner just finishing college makes sense to me! Large dogs are great but aren't for everyone so get the little dog YOU want and it will work out just fine with care and consistent training. Besides, large dogs need and deserve a yard and since you are just finishing college for goodness sakes I am  sure you will be in a condo or apartment to begin with, not a house with a yard.  Anyway, I'd go with the Yorkie...Good luck!  :)
