Which broadway show?

Ariel or Lion King? I have a trip to NYC and need to decide....

It's called The Little Mermaid, first of all.

Second of all, If you're really looking to enjoy some quality theater I would suggest branching out of the Disney genre. Not to say that Disney is not as good as other music, but I personally would prefer to see other shows. If you like those shows I recommend checking out In The Heights, Xanadu, or even Wicked or Legally Blonde.

Between The Little Mermaid and The Lion King, I would totally choose The Little Mermaid. I've seen all 3 Disney musicals currently on Broadway and The Little Mermaid is my first choice out of them with Mary Poppins as a close second. The Lion King was a disappointment to me, only the costumes were really amazing, but The Little Mermaid has those too! The current cast is sooo amazing!

When is the trip? Because if it happens before the new year, I'd definitely say Wicked. Through 2008 Kerry Ellis is performing. Normally she's in the UK. So this presents a very special opportunity. And Wicked is a great show under normal circumstances too.

But if thats right out, I'd say Lion King. But Wicked is something I'd recommend much more.

i haven't seen the little mermaid yet, but i've seen the lion king many times, and i don't think i'll ever get sick of it.

whichever one you chose, disney on broadway is phenomenal. i do agree that you should branch out to other shows, but definitely don't skip out on the lion king this time around. trust me, you will love it.

If you are looking to decide just between those two then I would say Lion King... It is much more powerful. If you are willing to branch out to different shows than I too would suggest Wicked. It's my favorite of all that I have seen. :-) If falls right into the fantasy story line as well.

Definitely lion king. I saw it, and it was just amazing.

Really, I wouldn't ever have to think about the choice. The artistry is top class.
