Which burns more calories? Jog? hike?

instead of going on my nightly 30 min jog, I went on a 75 min hike- with lot of it up major hills. Which one do you think burns more calories?

  1. I'm sure both are pretty high up there in burning calories, but it is good to break up your routine every once in a while. Jogging is good but with hiking you have to use a bunch of different muscles and not just your legs. In my opinion, I think jogging is good for burning fat and hiking is good for toning muscles and burning fat. Either way your staying in shape. I wish I had your motivation.

  4. I find jogging actually burns less calories than going steadily at an incline.  So, I would suggest hiking.
