  1. I'm not a professional trainer, but running at any speed will burn more calories, as it increases your heart rate much higher than walking does. So, I believe that running 6 miles an hour for 30 minutes is the correct choice.

(for all you fitness buffs, if I'm wrong, please don't torture me about it. I'm just using common sense and information I already know)

  2. Putting the fork down when you are full. Walking is the best way to lose weight.  I watched my brother at 40 years old and 80 pounds over weight walk off90 lbs in only 2 months. I recommend it.

  3. Duh, anytime your heart pump's faster you burn more calories. It's not about time you spend, ITS ALLLL ABOUT INTENSITY.

  4. I would guess and say the walking 4 miles an 1 hour, 45 minutes. Time is more important that intensity in exercising.

Anyone giving me the thumbs downs thinking that intensity is more important is wrong. The longer you workout, the longer you work your heart. A lot of research has been done on this, and researchers are starting to find out it's not all about the intensity.

Harder intensity may burn more calories, but a longer workout is healthier.

  5. Check this page out:

    http://www.enlita.com/content/calories_b...

It contains a list of numerous activities and the calories burned per hour.

    Good Luck!

  6. You will burn more calories 6 mph for 30 minutes because it's all about the distance.  Because your body will respond with burning more calories from fat and glucose stores because the intensity is greater than that 4 mph pace.
