Question:

Which butterfly's or moth's caterpillar was it??

today I found a GREEN colored caterpillar,

near 1 cm in length,

1.5mm thick.

a "thread like" structure was making it "hanging" in the air..

this thread was probably created by the salivary glands of the caterpillar, as that minute thread was about ONE METRE in length, and was connecting the mouth of it, to the base of the leaf of the tree.

using its labial palps, it was then climbing up the thread, towards the leaf, (to which the other end of the thread was attached)

I found that on the leaf of an orange tree..

kindly help identifying that strangely behaving caterpillar..
