ok I'm not getting a dwarf hammy I'm going to get probably a syrian like a teddy bear or any other kind that is like smaller to meduim size( not a dwarf, but not a giant!)

Well the problem is that my friends have this one and I don't want to have the same thing, I want to be different, I really like the lay-out do you know of any one almost the same?

  1. I like the second one better>

  2. well, I have  hamsters of my own. Some people in my family are allergic to them and we have a plastic "Habitrail" cage we also hook it up to an air filter. The cage is nice because it has lots of attachments and tubes availible.

  3. I think the top one would be good!!!  i had one just like it, but WAY weirder, my hamster is so smart he found a bent bar and kept on getting out of that and then he could open the door!!!!

  4. Well both of them are too small for a hamster. They would work for a few months and then get wrecked so i would probably just invest in a bigger, better cage so you don't have  to get another one.

    Why not a wired cage?

Hamster chew through everything so your hamster could escape from that cage if it wanted to.

Here are some cages that would work and that were 10-40 dollars which you would have been paying for the little plastic ones anyway.

Way cheaper and better for your hammie

If you need to get one from the options you gave the top one would be better. Although i don't see why you don't get a bigger, better, safer cage for a couple dollars more or cheaper.

    Hope i helped.

  5. I have the top one you showed.  It was great for the first 6 months, now it's covered in duct tape and has a padlock on it!   I think it's a great cage otherwise, but beware your hamster may just escape from it.  Mine did about 6 times, each time we added more duct tape.  I really like the cage as it's easy to clean, you take each piece and clean it and put it back.  Our hamster tends to pee in one of the compartments so I just have to clean one small area every other day or so.  But just beware and buy some duct tape if you buy a crittertail.

I wanted to comment on the cage links posted below.  Those cages aren't any bigger and they don't have anything fun to do in them.  Hamsters like separate areas to nest, food chamber, pee, poo.  the crittertail is better because you can keep adding new compartments on, you can even add another cage if you wanted.  I have seen the cages posted below in person and they have a little more height but not anymore floor space.  A hamster doesn't really like to swing from the rafters much.  :)

  6. Probably the first one would be good.
