  1. The chicken. Life began as tiny critters which divided to reproduce. Only sophisticated organisms can develop ova (eggs) to reproduce.

Sorry, I know you were looking for a flip answer.

  2. It had to have been the chicken. It must have started out as some uncomplex organism that reproduced asexually, and then evolved into organisms that produce by eggs. Then those animals evolved into mammals which produce live young. Who knows how animals will reproduce in the future.

  3. I'm a creationist so - the chicken

  4. if you are a christian and believe that god created everything one week and life goes on forever the same, then the chicken...

but if you believe in evolution then the egg, as already said it has to be grown first =)

  5. Log on to creator.com  you will know the truth   just kidding.

  6. the hen

  7. The egg came first! if you think about it the egg is there first, then it must be fertilized, so in order to get the chicken the egg must be fertilized. but then again, you won't even have the egg unless there was a chicken...but that's confusing. so in the process of evolution i'm pretty sure that the egg is first.

    good question!

  8. The...uhhhh...chicken?

    2pts! Yay!

  9. The chicken. That's not my opinion, it was answered by the scientific community about ten years ago. What they did was go back retracing the evolution of the animal and they found with out a doubt that there had to be a chicken first. Then the egg came with the first chicken. But before the egg there was a mammalian creature that gave birth to the first deformed offspring that laid the first egg. From there we have had chickens running around like their heads were cut off and eggs became a good source of food for the likes of you and I who are on top of the food chain.

  10. The egg.

Prior to the egg was a prehistoric critter that was almost, but not quite, a chicken.

  11. The egg. If you believe in the theory of evolution, then you can believe that animals change over time.  Thus, all chickens must come from eggs... but the first real chicken could have come from two animals that were very similar to a chicken but not quite.  The first real chicken was a real chicken though, and it must have come from an egg.

  12. it really all depends on your philosophy of life. you shouldn't care what the opinions of others are you should just believe in what you want to, but i personally thing the egg came first, because just like trees grown, it didn't just pop up out of no where, and humans as well, so i think all of the cells and other things in the world, along with God he made us.
