from my experiences canon's are possibly one of the best cameras made but i've found cameras like the cybershot alot easier for casual pics.

Please compare the following specifications.

1.Higher Mega pixel

2. Higher Optical zoom

3. Auto Image stabiliser

And if you don't compromise the price then go for SLR having above features.
