Which camera is better?

Question

Which of these two cameras are better: the Samsung GX-10 or the Sony α (alpha) DSLR-A300K + 18-70mm Zoom Lens? They seem pretty similar to me but I'm still learning. Maybe a camera expert will know.

Sony Alpha is certainly better in the long run as it's capabilities grow with yours. Also, there's a wider range of lenses available for it.

Not to mention samsung is only getting in the SLR scene, and Sony's cameras are based on the hugely popular Minolta cameras.
