I have a dilemma here. I need to choose between a Canon G9 and a Sony Cyber-Shot W300!
(I'm upgrading from a Canon Powershot SD450 which I love, but need more capabilities, I have taken over 16,000 pictures with it)
Here is what I like about each camera and what conciderstaions I have about both:
Sony Cyber-shot W300: - Price = $350
Love the fact that it has 13.6 mega pixels and the camera looks cool. Plus, the camera is smaller than the G9 and can fit in my pocket. Also, I have a Sony video camera and it has been great so far. However, I have many SD cards laying around, and I would have to buy pro stick duo's and they are expensive. Also, it doesn't have manual focus like the canon does.
Canon G9: - Price = $450
I love how it has the manual focus feature and the ISO dial on the top of the camera. Also, 12.1 mega pixels is very good as well. The price is a bit high, but I've had many instances where people have told me and I have owned great canon cameras. My current one has never failed me, although after many many great pictures, the zoom toggle switch is coming loose (not to mention I accidentally dropped it at Disney world, creating a big bird's egg black spot on the top left portion of the screen). However, I do not like how the G9 is big, and how it may bit a more challenging to carry around. Also, the shutter button and zoom toggle are small on the G9. Also, in my opinion it is a bit ugly.
If I could buy both, I would, but I don't have that money, and who needs two new cameras? Please help! Thanks!
