Which camera should i go for , first time dslr ?

iam gonna be gettin a good camera for the first time , which one should i go for , i take photographs of all sorts of stuff , was thinking of gettin a good dslr camera , any suggetions on what to look for ?

The DSLR which gives you the most bang for the buck is the Nikon D40 with a AF-S 18-55 mm ED lens for under $470 at Amazon.

Not only is it the least expensive entry level DSLR, it opens the door to one of the largest camera systems in the world (new and used)  There are 29 new lenses available for this camera and many other AF-I and AF-S used lenses as well.

Nikon D40's good or the Nikon D60 10.2MP Digital SLR. Better Megapixel and it gets 5/5 on Amazon, see sources below.

Must say though can't really go wrong with a Nikon, by far the best Digital SLR's. Well in mine and many other peoples opinion!
