  1. Ryerson is an accredited University, and has been for about 10 years. As far as Universities go, its one of the newest ones so a lot of people haven't heard of it. It used to be a polytechnical school, before it got accredited. I believe they only offer bachelor degrees, and in the world of acedemia, it

wouldn't be as highly regarded as University of Toronto for example, although Ryerson is an EXCELLENT school.

There are two other Universities in Toronto which are widely recognized, and offer Graduate studies, Law schools, Medical Schools and so forth. These are University of Toronto, and York University.

There are several other good Universities in Ontario, such as McMaster,  Queens,  Western University,  Carleton, although these are spread out around Ontario. In Western Canda

there is The University of Calagary, and Edmonton, and Also the University of British Columbia, and also Victoria University.

These are probably the most prominent universities in Canada. On the east Coast, Dalhousie University is becoming more recognized.

I was born in Toronto, attended University of Toronto and

    Ryerson.

Some of the Universities I listed are known for offering Dual

Canadian and US LAW degrees for example.
