Sometimes "confidence" what they call a "con artist," you know? My old high school buddy worked for many big car dealerships and made some real money with his friendly style and ability to show concern and understanding. Bill Clinton has that ability and so does my old high school buddy. The thing is, I know what he really thinks. He has told me how much he enjoys playing that game and making the sale. It really loves to succeed getting people to pay as much as possible for his personal enjoyment and gain. Makes him feel good. Some people are like that. It is what makes them feel good. I think it is a kind of high and not so much about the money but making a sale. Some kind of psychological sublimation or transfer unique to these people.

  1. McCain's desperate pick of unkown Sarah Palin over his own preference of Joe Lieberman does not speak of confidence.

    Obama always comes across confident.

Does that inspire confidence? Not letting congress go on vacation? does he think congress works for the executive branch? I saw this I was like... "Ok sit down grandpa"

  3. Is that with or without a teleprompter?

  4. I wouldn't buy a car from Obama and I certainly do not want him as my president.I look at him and think snake oil salesman, and unfortunately he has a large following of people desperate to have all their ills cured by the junk he is selling. However he is not capable of fixing everyones troubles.I look at McCain and see someone who has fought for our country, someone who has experience and is willing to make changes-just look at his VP pick.A woman reformer! It is time to vote smart-Vote McCain Palin 2008

  5. "It also appears that Sarah Palin is a member of a misnamed group called Feminists for Life. FFL in fact engages in "cultural appropriation" of women's suffrage icons to promote a very woman-unfriendly agenda that--despite attempts to sound "not like those crazies in Operation Rescue"--would not only criminalise abortion but the IUD and hormonal birth control methods, and potentially everything outside the rhythm method (the term "abortifacient birth control" is a codephrase in the dominionist "pro-life" community for hormonal birth control--partly due to a unique urban legend claiming "the pill" and other hormonal birth control causes abortion and partly because of a unique definition of pregnancy beginning at conception rather than at implantation (the latter is what most mainstream OB/GYNs use) and thus making *anything* preventing implantation potentially "abortifacient")."

  6. If you want a President who will give great teleprompted rehearsed speeches about dreams and make believe, then Obama is the man.

If you want a President who knows what reality is, and knows how to deal with it , then McCain is the man.
