  1. Copper is the deepest

Copper - 1,879 meters - 6,165 (rounded to closest foot)

Grand Canyon - Maximum depth: 1,829 meters - 6,001 feet (rounded to closest foot)

You can see that the Copper Canyon is a bit deeper however,

the Mariana Trench, the underwater canyon descends 10,920 meters http://www.livescience.com/mysteries/080...

  2. The Grand Canyon in northwest Arizona in the U.S.A. is 6,000 feet deep at its deepest point and 15 miles at its widest.

Barranca del Cobre (Copper Canyon) is a system of four canyons located in the (Sierra Tarahumara) southwest portion of the state of Chihuahua, Mexico. The depths of the four canyons are:

Barranca del Cobre (Copper Canyon) is 5,770 ft. deep

Barranca del Sinforosa is 5,904 ft. deep

Barranca del Batopilas is 6,002 ft. deep

Barranca del Urique is 6,136 ft. deep

So....if you are talking about the canyon systems, Copper Canyon is deeper by about 136 feet.  If you are talking about the specific canyon named Copper Canyon, then the Grand Canyon is deeper by about 230 feet.

Overall, Grand Canyon, Arizona is bigger (wider and longer) than the four in Copper Canyon, Mexico, but as shown above it is not necessarily deeper.
