Im taking my road test in a few weeks, and im not sure which car i should use. i have a 1996 mustang gt that i drive quite often, but i also drive my parents GMC envoy quite a bit. I would prefer taking my test in the mustang, but do you think they will be harder on me because its somewhat of a sporty car? i would just take it in the envoy but since its an SUV itll be harder to parallel park. both cars have AC and i think neither of them will be uncomfortable for the person who judges my driving. also, what should i need to know about taking the test? any helpful hints? thanks

  1. Take the envoy, it is easy to parallel park.

  2. Use whatever you're more comfortable driving (usually what you drive most).  Just stay calm and take your time and you will be fine.

  3. Personally i would say the mustang, its a smaller car so it would be easier to parell park.I doubt instructors have a bias as far as which car you choose to drive as long as you are not punching it and driving responisible. As far as taking the test, pretty simple just knowing how to drive, and knowing your vechicle.I took my test about 3 1/2 years ago they had me stop my vechicle before a certian line, park in reverse and parall park.Just practice on these things , they dont penalize you for bumbing into a cone just watch to make sure you don't knock it down. And try to stay calm ,it will be nerve wrecking exspecially when i had to take my test in complete silence, no radio.Just practice and have fun with it.
