Which car is best? Cayenne or Rover?

I wanna buy a truck. I'm really interested in a Porsche Cayenne. I was gonna buy a 04 or 05 Cayenne S, but my uncle told me that was not a good car. He told me to get a Range Rover instead. I don't really like it though. It's a very s**y car but the inside is too boxy for me. Advice please.

They are both very good cars and if you can afford either, you are doing better than most people. I personally like the Range Rover better, it just seems like a cooler car because it is British

Bad advice all around.

The Cayenne is quite underwhelming and the Rover is a piece of British junk. Britshit.

Who wants either? How tacky. Get something that won't be in the shop forever. The Rover will do exactly the opposite. Do some research before buying what you can't afford. Come on, now.

If you want to buy a truck then get the Range Rover. It looks like a truck, sits high like a truck and will drive like a truck, certainly no pun on the duck. lol.  If you want the racing heritage and the legendary performance of Porshe with utility, get the Porsche.  A Rover is known for it's forays into Austrailian and African expeditions with camera crews on top.  Rover is a vehicle with rugged credentials and the creed to prove it through the roughest of jungles. Lately, Rover has placed a bowtie on a brute and tried to make it civilized on the highway.  Standing still,  the Rover looks nice in tuxedo black, with chrome rims and wide street tires, but when it opens it's mouth, when it drives on the road, it is an offroad jock no denying it.  For that is what Rover is known best, in the world.  

The Porsche Cayenne as you have already sampled is a different beast. It is a light footed gazelle, graceful and beautiful at a distance, but wild and powerful up close. It can turn on a dime and light up the road with uncanny speed blended with power.  It has the tux, bowtie and patent leather shoes on the one hand and the Nike athletic wear on the other. With Brembo caliper brakes, 19' tires, dual exhaust and a fire breathing turbocharger sitting on top of a fire breathing engine, this way the Porsche has it's cake and eats it too. If you are like many, the Porsche will never see the Serengheti, or the Gobi Desert. Instead, it will introduce to you open sky, with colorful vistas blurred together like a kalidescope, beneath the scenary you will hear the bass baritone of an exhaust that means what it says and does what it means on any given day to any competitor who dares to drive in front of the brand.  While this is a colorful example, the two extremes best illustrate the difference between the two vehicles, now which one best fits you? The RangeRover is the worst luxury brand in reliability. That is what an article on the yahoo homepage said. It was on the homepage under the featured news yesterday. It was ranked by J.D. Power and Associates.

And I agree with them. I have driven the 2004 Porsche Cayenne S and many Land Rover Range Rovers.

The Porsche is better in every way. Faster, more reliable, more luxurious, better quality, better comfort, better handling.

The LandRover Range Rover is always in the shop.

And the Porsche Cayenne Turbo is the fastest SUV in the world with a top speed of 171mph. The Cayenne S goes around 155mph, which is still very fast for an SUV.

In the last RangeRover I drove, the wood trim in the car was falling off and it made weird noises when I turned the steering wheel all the way.
