  1. From the basic info you have given, I would say your decision will be based on price, not only the initial cost but the cost during the duration of the time you own this vehicle.  Consider cost of fuel, insurance, and repair expenses.  I would also imagine that you are looking for basic transportation.  With this in mind, here are my recommendations.  

    Ford Focus: New or used.  35mpg highway, can be had at a great price for what you get.  You can also get Microsoft Sync which can control your phone, and mp3 by voice commands.

    Toyota Corolla.  Also great mileage, but a bit pricier new and used.

    Chevy Cobalt.  This is a good car when you consider price.

    Also don't rule out hatchbacks, which provide great space and value.


  2. Something used and small....hybrid won't happen on that budget, add aftermarket nav...good units for 2-300 bucks.

  3. Whatever you have the money for, it's as simple as that.
