Im expecting my first and realize that when i have this baby i will no longer be able to drive my sporty hyundai tiburon with a baby...i looked for cars and am thinking of trading my car in for either a pontiac grand-am or a dadge neon, both 2005 4 door cars..any ideas on which is safer or easier with a baby....i plan on buying a Britex carseat so if you had or have had a britex in one of these cars i would love to know how it worked out..thanks =)

  1. neon is safe and im sure the pontiac is safe the grand am has trunk space the neon has fuel milage they both can seat 5 people so its a matter of choice if you want to save money on gas than get the neon if you need trunk space get the grand am

  2. You can check youtube for crash tests on both cars...

Britax seats are great but they tend to be big so see if you can test them in each car before buying.

  3. the bigger car

  4. I definitely think a grand-am would be safer, my future sister in law has one and she just had a baby in December. I think the Grand-Am would last longer too, neon's are pieces of junk as far as I'm concerned

  5. Without a doubt the Pontiac Grand-Am.

  6. Get bigger as the newborn car seat takes up a lot of room.

Check the back seat of these to see if they have the child seat quick connects. It makes it so much easier to mount the seats.

  7. Get the Pontiac it will be more reliable than the Neon. It also has more room which is what you need with a newborn baby.
