Which car should I go for?

Hi,

Well I am thinking of getting a new car.

Either the Lexus RX (top of the range)

or the Toyota Landcruiser 200 series.

Which is the better one?

What are the goods and bad's about them?

Personally I find Landcruisers extremely ugly. Lexus tends to be more luxurious. Neither have great gas mileage, I'd imagine.

This is very much a decision that depends on your needs.

The RX is definitely very nice and luxurious, it gets 18 mpg overall. It is safe and reliable, so it should last you a while.

I think that a Land Cruiser definitely has some luxury to it, but can also go off road. It is also reliable, like the RX, but may be more rugged than the RX because it was originally built for tougher terrain. I actually think that the UN uses the Land Cruisers as their "company car".

I personally like the RX because it has a powerful, smooth engine, and it gets decent gas mileage. It only seats 5, which could be a problem, but otherwise is a great SUV that feels like a car to drive. The Land Cruiser will be bigger and more rugged, which I personally don't need in my life. And in this day of $4 gas, I think that it is unnecessary.

Oh, and also worth a look: The new Acura MDX and the new Honda Pilot. They get decent gas mileage and are very good overall. They are reliable and dependable, but still comfortable and sporty-er than some other SUVs.

they're both very nice but nothing beats the class that lexus is in, if you want to chose based on looks then go with the lexus, if you want to chose based on what i've heard about toyota, about how it's very safe, doesn't get ruined, works for a long time, stays in good condition, and is good for gas prices, then go with the toyota, but if i had the choice even though i have a toyota rav 4 right now, i would go with the lexus, from all the luxury cars..mercedez and bmw....lexus is the best one, stays in good condition, looks amazing, it's just classy. so they're both pretty good cars, which ever you feel comfortable driving and feels right, then go with that, go test drive them both for sure... good luck and i hope whatever you buy keeps you safe and happy.
