i have liked both these cars, both with clean car fax report. 2007 being rental might have undergone rough usage with 30000 miles on it and 2005 being older with only 26000 miles on it... am confused which one should i go for .. please suggest...

  1. Don't buy the rental.

  2. It is often believed that cars that were once rentals are bad...however,  if the rental company was a "major" company chances are the car is in great condition. Rental companies tend to take better care of a car's engine than a private party would (oil changes, tune-ups, etc). They also have a habit of selling cars that are over 2 years old...or approaching it...that is why Enterprise and such always carry current models.  You will be surprised to find that a majority of "pre-owned" cars that are being sold in MAJOR car dealerships are one owner cars, but that one owner was a rental company.  I would opt for the 2007 because it is probably still under the manufacturer's warranty. You shouldn't worry about it being a rental unless it has had 5 owners and is over 7 years old. :-)
