  1. Honda civic (any year)

    you'll never regret that.

  2. buy your own car.

  3. go with Honda or Toyota, better on gas, Toyota Corolla or Honda Accord, plus they last longer

  4. the one that has the best mileage.

but i dont know wat one that is....haha sorry lol

  5. None of those to be quite honest. They will get the same gas mileage...

  6. Get a civic hybrid. Seats five and great on gas.

  7. Anything with a good safety score and great mileage.

  8. dont get an 05! you might as well go for brand new! and if you get anything get a hybrid!  or something else good on gas .

  9. The cobalt is reported to have really good gas mileage.  I looked at a new one recently (about a month ago).  I ended up buying a Honda Fit.  I get a range of 33 - 38 mpg depending on where and how I drive ( I live mountainous areas).   They run about $15,500 brand new and that is over your price range, but it is an awesome little car if you can swing that much $$$.  4 of us went on a weekend trip in it, 4 Adults, 4 suitcases, 4 camera bag backpacks, 4 tripods, 4 laptops with cases and we still had plenty of room.  So don't let the size fool you.

  10. I say if your car is payed off don't get bother getting another one. It's not worth the fuel savings. You may get a car that will save you $600 more a year in gas but does that justify the extra money you will pay in monthly car payments?

Your car is worth around $3500 as a trade in and $5000 if you sell it privately. If you get $5000 for it that still leaves $4000 to $5000 to pay off the cars your looking at. In short you may be paying $50 less a month in gas but spending around $100 a month (on a 5 yr contract) for the newer car.

The only way you would really save is if you find a smaller car for around the same price as your Malibu.

Other then that drive slower. You'll be surprised how much gas you'll save by driving the speed limit.

  11. my mom had that same car and she always wasted $45.00.

but she is planing to get Chevrolet it only wastes $30.00

  12. the malibu would be best not to small or to big unlike the colbalt to small and pontiac not to much leg room.

  13. hi Alisha sawed off here my opioin would be for u to get a honda the civic is nice u can get them in 4 doors they wonder on gas and it has a lot of power 4 a smaller car and u can get one 4 bout ur price range or lower and they tough last 4 ever. i had one that's y i know.

  14. look for

98 Acura CL, 98 Ford Mustang V6, 98 Honda Accord or Civic, 98 Nissan Frontier or Pathfinder, 98 Subaru Impreza or Legacy, 98 -00 Toyota Corolla or Echo 00

these are all reliable and will last longer than other cars in this price range.

  15. Get something foreign so you will have a dependable car that won't give you problems.  A used Honda or Toyota would be a very smart choice!

  16. ford focus 3 or4 years old.

  17. Well i know that this was not one of your choices but i drive a 2004 Ford Focus... Yes they are dorky... but they get GREAT gas mileage!!! I drove from Oklahoma City to Corpus Christi "Aprox 600 miles" on a tank and a half of gas!!! This was about  year ago but i only spent like $55 dollars one way... That was $110 in gas for the WHOLE 1200 mile trip!!!! I think that is like 35 miles per gallon!!! GREAT!! Anyways it is something to look into! Good Luck!

  18. Yeah the Toyotas and Hondas are your best bet, they have always been good on gas, and can find them cheaper for a 2005. The three you picked dont seem like they would really save you on gas at all. Choose a couple you like from those two catagories and pick one that gets the best gas mileage for the best price. You want something that is going to be a good maintenance car also, something that is not going to cost you an arm and a leg to fix or keep up.

  19. I would go with a cobalt or malibu as their MPG are relatively the same.

  20. Ford focus, the gas is cheap, the parts are cheap, and they get around good in winter.

I just traded in my focus, cuz my family outgrew it, but I loved it.

  21. Hon - I would try a Toyota or a Honda.  Both are great cars and get really good gas mileage and they last.

  22. 2005 cobalt.  Buy the ss version tho :)    Its sporty looking and good on gas.  the malibu and pontiac have a v6 engine and thats gonna hurt u on gas :(

  23. Probably u shoud just ride a bike because gas prices are so high.... HEY U SAID ANY SUGGESTIONS,, IM JUST BEIN STRAIGHT UP

  24. Any particular reason you are buying on GM vehicles? alot of nice imports out there that last longer, with better MPG, and less maintenance. But ultimately its up to your preference. I'd pick the Cobalt out of the ones you listed above. Gutless but decent.

  25. 2005 malibu, and pontiac the same car, cobalt will get better mileage

  26. Ford Focus - 35 mpg - I own a Focus and love it...It is a small car but it is great on gas!

  27. Greeings: What is wrong with the vehicle you now have, could be that$1,000, or so could put your vehicle in top notch condition, and you would have saved $9,000 toeards tution. All the best to you...................John t

  28. What's wrong with what you have now? You want to save money, yet you're willing to take on another car payment?

Stick with what you have, especially while in college.

  29. try a Nissan sentra... or a Toyota corolla

  30. PT Cruiser. I love mine.
