1996 Pontiac Grand Am

-Automatic

-4 Cylinder

-Power windows and locks

-160,000 miles

-Asking $600 b/o, but will take $450

There are electrical issues with the gauges. They have gone dead for a few seconds, then came back. Possibly a wiring issue or needs new gauge cluster.

1996 Chevrolet Corsica

-Automatic

-4 Cylinder

-Power windows and locks

-118,000 miles

-Asking $500 b/o, but I will offer $300 or so.

Car was in a minor accident. The hood, grille, headlights and radiator mount are bent or broken. (Nothing severe, it was a light hit). The paint is also flaking off in multiple spots.

  1. Either one is equally as good if you like throwing your money away.

The Corsica seems like it might last a day or two longer.

The Grand Am has 160,000 miles on it.  That's like making a 70 year old grandma do laps.

I wouldn't waste my hard earned money on either car.

  2. I have owned a pontiac and it was the worst car I have ever had...I had to replace virtually every part under the hood.  I would go with the chevy...just my personal experience with pontiac is that they SUCK!

  3. The Corsica if you can repair or it is drivable as is

  4. honda's are a much better car....but if it's either the chevy b/c both are not very good cars with high miles....body problems are easier to deal w/ than mechinical which the first one has...you can drive a car with body damage but if the electrical goes the car dies...

  5. the Corsica has less miles and less issues

electrical problems an be extensively costly

and could leave you on the side of the road.

there is nearly no price difference.

body damage & paint are  much easier to repair than the guages or tracing wiring issues.

is it not possible to hold off until you have a little more cash to work with. neither one is a superior choice but the chevy will do in a pinch. A pretty car is useless if you cant start it and drive it anywhere.

  6. Grand Am, the corsica was a bad car

  7. take the pontiac looks better than the corsica and im sure you will payless getting the wiring repair.than fixing the The hood, grille, headlights and radiator mount, besides the pain flaking = ugly car.if it was you ill save some more amd try to find a 98 or 96 honda accord they are cheap.

  8. Pontiac becuase the radiator and headlight mount bent of broken sure sounds likfe near future trouble.

  9. Get a bicycle :)

  10. niether... you could just wait alittle longer and see if you find something better but dont waste your money rewiring is very expencive... and nobody wants peeling paint and even a small hit... just stop wait and look again

  11. Depending on where you live save your money and buy a bike or you'll be paying for maintenance later.

  12. 1996 Pontiac Grand Am

  13. get the grand am

  14. the poniac for sureee.
