Which car would you pick for $1600? A 96 Ford Taurus or a 93 Honda Accord?

I am getting a new car for myself and I have narrowed it down to these two models! The Honda has about 135,000 miles on it, The Ford has about 140,000 miles on it plus a small dent on the back bumper while the Accord looks almost new for its age.

The Honda is a better car but both would need to be looked over by a good mechanic before you make a choice.

i would choose the Honda because they are invincable and if you ever go to sell it, you can get a good price for it.(best resale value for years now)

after owning about 3 hondas and several fords the honda is your best bet... plain and simple its gonna be more reliable..

this doesn't mean that you can neglect it in any way though.. if you dont change the oil and do your proper maintenence..

Also Hondas have a much better resale value.

The honda accord is more durable in general...and last for more miles!

At that age vehicle, it's a matter of which one is in better shape.  In other words take both to your mechanic and have him give each a good look over.

Personally, I would lean toward the Accord.
