Which one is better and WHY. I know xD are more expensive but I don't know whether the extra cash is worth it.

  1. the SD car they are cheaper plus many places have problems with the xD cards as they don't have readers for them.

the SD is a bit bigger but is cheaper and more easily used with computers and print labs.

  2. The SD card, they are better. :-)

  3. i would go with a SD card, there more versatile and can be used in more things, there cheaper aswell, and you can get one with a faster transfer speed.

you could buy a few there so cheap! (i remember paying £85 for a 256mb card a few years ago!)

  4. I am still trying to fill my one up i just have the 1qgb it does alot on that camera its really good!

  5. don't think it matters too much

    cost isnt' that different.

there is a new generation of XD cards which are faster than the previous generation, but whether your camera can take advantage of them I dunno

As to size of card.. get the biggest you can afford that works in yur camera *not all devices can use the 2 or even 4gb cards that seem to abound these days.

as ever it pays to read the manual. .check what it says and recommends

an alternative strategy is to buy two smaller sized cards so you have one in the camera and one in the PC. the downside is that its yet another ting to loose when you really really need the camera
