  1. Just like what they've said unless its not an oval then F1 cars would win.

  2. F1 its sure

  3. formula one cars..no second thought

  4. Indy cars have a higher top end.  Remember when Honda went out to the Salt Flats to see how fast they could go?  246 mph.  Indy cars can top that on the ovals.

On a road course, an F1 car would win.  Lighter, faster acceleration, better braking.  On an oval, the Indy car would, top end speed counts.

  5. In comparison, Formula One cars are faster. If the US Grand Prix was held at Sears Point you'd see a significant difference in quickness between the cars. Indy cars are better at maneuvering at high speeds whereas F1 cars are faster and have better handling. It's all about what they're designed for. However, F1 did handle Indy for many years, most of those years were with the road course conversion though. Still, it was mostly an oval. It was just converted because F1 cars can't entirely handle ovals. The Indy 500 was originally an F1 race.

  6. Formula 1 cars accelerate faster, turn quicker, and stop faster. I'd love to see a head to head fight, but I doubt it would be very close.

  7. you are comparing apples and oranges.each has a specific design and function and the rules are different regarding horsepower ,design and weight .the skill used to go around a road corse and a circle track are also different ,long track, short track and road racing all require a different mindset.
