Question:

Which category do i fit in?

im too late to apply to any university right now as a transfer student, because i've just decided to transfer. my question is, can i go in to a university and take courses that are required by my major and that would count towards my graduation then apply to this university in winter? if i can , what category would i go under (visiting, undeclared...??)

  1. You should be able to.  Universities are a business, and like most business they want your money.  If you are wanting to take a class, they will most likely let you if there are still openings.  If you have not been accepted, they will most likely not let you if the class is full.  Beware, if you are taking the class at a university other then where you plan on graduating from, the classes might not transfer.  As a last resort, there are many community colleges that will allow you to enroll as late as the day before class starts, and often times they have something called seemless transfer to universities in the area.


  2. As far as I know anyone can pay for and take college classes. You just can't get a degree without being accepted. I suppose you would just be visiting that university for one semester. And yeah, you're right, take gen eds or other things you have verified with an advisor will definitely transfer. Just be careful, not everything that you think will transfer will and you need to verify it before you spend time and money.
