  1. Well direct burning releases the carbon stored but storing them in a dump creates a mess and stores carbon for longer periods of time whereby upon decompossion more carbon is released at one point from all the leaves. however dont burn them but them for mother other to recycle herself

  2. i think both are bad. instead just take some leaves and spread them all over your garden soil and around plants its good compost and has good nutrients.

  3. the council should be able to dispose of it properly its best used as a fertiliser or to generate electrity from if your council is sustainable.

  4. Why would you remove leaves? They help to protect the trees from frosts and build new soil. They add nutrients, habitat, and protect plants. Brush any up that are on drives and paths and spread them round the bases of your trees and plants. Don't burn or tip them, leave them alone to do what they are meant to do.

  5. Both cause pollution.  Compost them.

  6. Why would you put them in a plastic bag.  Don't burn them and if you dump them their is usually a place at the tip for organic waste.  if you don't physically take the rubbish to the tip try and compost it or store it in bags for a period of time and sell it as compost.

  7. burning causes more pollution

it has nothing to do with carbon

the carbon concept is a load of BS

    it's about particulate matter

    smoke is made of particles

more smoke = more particulate pollution

  8. They're both unsustainable. Compost them.
