  1. I would have to say go with the blackberry all the way i know to many ppl that the centro(palm) froze upon them and yes the email and txt is so much better

i have the curve and its great !!!!!!!!

  2. I have to say I like the Palm better. The Blackberry is cool but still I like the Palm better.

  3. I would go with the Palm... It's far and away the better device... As for the data plan price, I would suggest that person look again... The data plan for Sprint is 15 for the palm... 45 for the Blackberry...

Mail service isn't any better for the Blackberry...There are several push email programs available for the Blackberry...

With regard to unlocking the Centro... look on your user guide... it will tell you how to fix that.

If you look on this forum alone, you will find far more questions about how to fix a blackberry than you do a palm...Everyone just wants to know how to make ringtones for the Centro... And for that my friend... I have the answer.

  4. Having had both in the past three days I feel qualified to answer this question.  I started with a pearl two weeks ago.  Within 12 days my first pearl's keypad was only working sometimes and the roll ball was getting stuck (if your fingers are even sweaty when you touch the rollball you can destory it).  I returned it to the Verizon store and they gave me a second Pearl.  That one wouldn't connect with the computer software that was provided with it.  I called Verizon's tech support number.  The tech I connected with said that he personally has a pearl and can't wait to get rid of it.  He tried t help me get mine to connect but it was hopeless.  I was then directed to go back to the Verizon store in order to exchange my phone for a differnt phone.  I chose the Palm Centro.  I was somewhat unhappy to find that I have to request that my aol e-mail be checked and that my school is going to have to program in my .edu address however the fact that the phone is much more user friendly, the keypad is easier to use and actually works all the time, and the easy navigation provided by the touch screen are what sold me on it.  I will note here two things that I do not like are that the camera does not appear to have a flash (unless I have not found it yet) and there was not an alarm clock application already on the phone but I was able to quickly put one on there (I always use my cell as my alarm clock).  Despite the few things that I don't care for on the palm I would still absolutely recommend it over the pearl.  One more thing though-- before you purchase a pearl make sure you play with the keypad.  It is VERY hard to use because there are several letters/numbers/symbols assigned to each key and I found it difficult to type with .

  5. I have a palm centro with at&t. i LOVE it! the key pad is kind of small but it is great to text with!

it also has a touch screen and google maps!  it holds music and can connect to the internet! the camera and recorder is pretty good to!

idk if the pearl has this but if you ever forget anything about your phone their is a guide that tells you how to use it. on the pearl i HATe that ball! i cant pick anything on the screen bcause the ball is too had to control! on the centro though i hate when u keep having to unlock your phone... i also reccomed getting one of those "skins" for your phone i think it looks cool!

hope you like your future phone!

  6. Please get the Pearl.

Pearl will offer the best email service out there and its Operating System will never crash on you at least for the first 2 years.

Palm Devices (Centro) It is beautiful looking but the email service does not compare to the BB system, touch screen is nice but the Palm OS has not been reliable true the years, now sure the newer model have improved on that but it will crash on you after 3 months, just read more reviews.

Data Plans for BB devices $30 Bucks Unlimited

Data Plans for Centro $45 Bucks for Unlimited.
