    Prokaryotic cells don't.


  2. Eukaryotic cells have internal compartments that are enclosed by membranes, while prokaryotic cells do not.

    A way of remembering this it to look at the words. The suffix -karyote comes from the word karyon, meaning kernal. So Pro - meaning before - karyote....means before kernal. Prokaryotes lack a cell nucleus, which is membrane bound.
