  1. Protagonist - hero

    Antagonist- anti-hero/ villain.

Round- characters that are described a lot. You know them well.

ex. Holden Caufield, the protagonist (from THe Catcher in the RYE)

flat- extras. Who are they? I don't know much about them. Get it?

    ex. The maid. lol

Static- characters who stay the same throughout the story.

ex. Marissa was a maid in the beginning. She's still a maid in the ending.

    Dynamic- Characters who change.

ex. John is a janitor in the beginning. In the end, he becomes the school principal because of his hard work.

    Foil- (from wikipedia)

A foil is a character that contrasts with another character, usually the protagonist, and so highlights various facets of the main character's personality. A foil usually has some important characteristics in common with the other character, such as, frequently, superficial traits or personal history. The author may use the foil to throw the character of the protagonist into sharper relief.

A foil's complementary role may be emphasized by physical contrasts. Dreamy and impractical Don Quixote is thin; realistic, practical Sancho Panza is fat. Sherlock Holmes is tall and lean; Doctor Watson, although at first, on his return from Afghanistan, described as lean, is later described as "middle-sized, strongly built."

  2. Here's what I remember

    protagonist - hero/main character

    antagonist - villain/mean character

round character - a character that is described in great detail(appearance and personality)

flat character - character that you don't really know about - isn't described a lot

And I don't remember the other three...I remember learning them but I...don't.

    Sorry

    Hope I helped though

  3. um...in what? or are you're looking for the definition of those? If that's the case...google it. seriously, there's no end to the laziness of people.
