  1. If you list the dimensions of your pool I will be able to tell you exactly what you need. First and foremost you need a good test kit such as the Taylor K 2006. Make sure it tests for free chlorine (FC), total alkalinity (TA), pH, calcium hardness (CH), and cyanuric acid (CYA). If you have a list of your chemistry please add it to the question. If your alkalinity is low then you need to add the alkalinity plus first then balance the pH. It all depends on your numbers. You also need to get cyanuric acid in your pool. This is a chlorine stabalizer that lets the chlorine last longer in the presence of sunlight. With no CYA you can lose all your chlorine in a matter of hours. This will also affect the TA and pH. Feel free to email me with any questions.
