  1. Cities between 30° and 60°.

    U.S. and Canadian cities north of Florida and south central Texas.   European cities.  Mediterranean North Africa.  Middle Asia including Beijing and Shanghai, China.  Tokyo, Japan.  New Zealand and major cities of Australia.  Cape town, S. Africa.  Buenos Aires, Argentina.  Montevideo, Uruguay.


  2. Anything between 30 and 60 degrees latitude is considered to be mid-latitude. They could be either 30-60 degrees north, or 30-60 degrees south of the equator. Most of these places have a temperate climate, though some are warm, and some are cold
