Which cities/towns in the mainland Greece do you like the best ?

Other than the big ones like Athens and Thessaloniki.

I have friends in Nea Smyrni, but that's just Athens, so it doesn't count.

I like Metzovo and Ionina. The tiny village of Krisovitsa is great and I really liked Olympia. Being a drama teacher, seeing a play at Epidauros was the experience of a life time.

Last year I visited Edessa and Naousa.I loved them both.I like Ioannina ,Preveza, Nafplio,Halkida,love Konitsa,Aristi,Papigo.Kavala,and so many more!!!!!Yia sou.

that is the only two cities i  seen and i loved THESSALONIKI, you cant beat GEORGES steaks in ATHENS THOUGH

Halkida, Nauplio (the best of all), Patra, Volos

i think that the best city is trikala because is the only Greek city that looks like a modern central European city. first of all have 2 big rivers. also there is a unique fortress and  the center of the city looks like forest because pass the river and it is full of trees. it is dreamy

I love all 3 of the big cities Athens, Thessaloniki, Patra - all for different reasons (Athens because it was home for 10yrs) I adore Ioannina - it's really magical (especially around Christmas). Of course my loyalty lies with Preveza - nothing beats sitting in a cafeteria in winter sunshine - outside (wrapped up) on the harbour front - looking at the blue sky/sea and snow capped mountains!

rafina; where i have my place. a little dead, but 10 steps and youre on a boat to the islands

voula/vouliagmeni; for the cafes

nafplio; gorgeous ocean scenery

up north...volos; quaint and quiet, mountainy but close to the ocean, like a little thessaloniki

I love Kastoria and Volos! I could live in these cities, i find the life there great, calm and beautiful!

Thessalonki is the Amsterdam of Greece.
