  1. I'd definitely say Auckland.  It has a larger population, and a more dense population of professionals who are willing to shell out the extra bucks for accommodation.  I prefer Christchurch.  Close to ski fields, beaches, and has the best pizza in the world "Winniebagoes"!.

  2. auckland  very exp to live in ,,,,food , rent , paid for water , houses dearer than, christchurch

  3. Auckland, it is a larger City and more crowded, so demand is higher and therefore rents are higher. As far as other things go, about the same prices. I personally prefer Christchurch, big enough to be a City with things to do but small enough to still have some old world charm, and easier to get around.

  4. Auckland has a higher cost of living than just about anywhere in New Zealand......but they can have more highly paid jobs too...it really depends on your job as you may be highyl paid and find it fine living in Auckland, while having a less well paid job in Christchurch and find it harder going...

I know cheap rent in Chch starts around $60 per week + expenses and can easily go up to the high hundreds....I am not sure if you want ot share or rent a house....

  5. Auckland is renowned for its high living costs.

  6. Without a doubt Auckland is the most expensive to live and work in, as it is so much bigger!!

  7. Auckland by far.
