Cali and Connecticut have the highest pay rate for teachers. I live in New Hampshire, so I know Connecticut won't be much of a change (culture, climate etc.) but I am assuming living in Cali would be totally different (I am up for a change!). SO in your opinion/experience, what cities are the best in:

1. Connecticut

2. Cali

for teaching?

If I'm going to live in Cali, I would like to live in an area where it doesn't get a lot of snow, if any (I have lived with it for 22 years!)

In either states, I don't want to live where there is a big city. I would like to own a small house or a condo, and I want to be in a city that has TREES and GRASS! I couldn't live in a 10th floor apartment with a view of city streets and skyscrapers.

Thanks so much :)!

  1. california

but try some of the northern cities like Redding, etc.  You have the ocean nearby and the mountains nearby.  Also, you have many giant redwoods to keep you company!!!

Northern California is nothing like southern california...more rural and relaxed.  I think you would like it!!!

  2. CT:  Choose a place in Fairfield County, like Greenwich.  Greenwich is an upscale, nice town, and very close to NYC.

CA: There are nice towns in Orange County, like Anaheim, Santa Ana, Newport Beach, Huntington Beach.
