Which city in the USA has the highest percentage of men? And which has the highest percentage of women?

According to the 2000 Census, Salinas, California has a male-to-female ratio of 113.7%, followed by Ft. Lauderdale, Florida (110%), Paradise, Nevada (109.1%), Santa Ana, CA (107.7%), and Tempe, Arizona (106.9%).  Of the top 10, half are in California and no city in Alaska even made the top 10.

The cities with the lowest male-to-female ratio (and thus the highest female-to-male ratio) are Gary, Indiana (84.6%), Birmingham, Alabama (85.7%), Philadelphia, PA (86.8%), Jackson, MS (86.9%) and Richmond, VA (87.1%).

But this is just for cities with populations of 100,000 or more, so if you counted small towns, Alaska would probably be on there.

Looking at the 10 largest cities in USA, there are a lot of females in New York and Chicago and a lot of dudes in Pheonix and San Diego.

Just to let you know though they mostly do these kinds of statistics for states not cities, as this would require every city to be surveyed which has not happened..
