it may even be istanbul as it lies divided...one part in asia one in europe

buda and pest = budapest .....hungary

istanbul       = one part in europe and the other in asia

rome         = vatican city and rome itself

berlin         = used to be.....west berlin and berlin the capitol

                of the german democratic republic (also known as

                east berlin)

p.s. west and east berlin became reunited in 1989 after the "wall "

was demolished.
